ALL ABOUT THE UNIT
The UMR RIGHT research unit “Regulation of Immunity for therapeutic innovation in Graft, Host, Tumoral and inflammatory associated diseases” studies the immune system, and is interested in the relationships between the immune system and transplanted organ or tumor. The study of these interactions allows the development of new treatments to modulate the immune system to prevent graft rejection or on the contrary to induce tumor elimination. These drugs can be cells or molecular factors of the immune system. The treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases by biological drugs is also a research focus of the unit. Finally, the unit seeks to identify parameters of the immune system (called biomarkers) that can predict the evolution of transplantation, chronic inflammatory diseases or cancers.
