Autoimmunity

Coordinated by Professor Bernard BONNOTTE, the “Autoimmunity” group studies the immune responses during autoimmune pathologies. It is oriented around 3 studies :

    • Study of the immune response during autoimmune cytopenias.
Translational research on blood and spleen samples of patients with immunological purpura or hemolytic anemia included in the studies of the Reference Center of autoimmune cytopenias coordinated by the team
    • Study of the immune response during large vessel vasculitis.
Translational research on pieces of temporal arteries and blood from patients with giant cell arteritis included in the 2 national PHRC coordinated by the team. Thanks to the culture models of the patients’ arteries and the samples collected, study of the effectiveness of new immunosuppressive treatments and biotherapies.
    • Development of a new suppressive therapy from patients’ monocytes.
Study and development of therapeutics: cells called HuMoSC and their supernatants in GvH, scleroderma, giant cell arteritis from patient samples.
